Projects
Thanks to our involvement in various initiatives and grant programs, we are constantly developing our competencies to support our Patients even more effectively.
Representation of the "OSTATNIA WARTA" Foundation at nationwide long-term and senior care events in 2026.
In 2026, our Foundation is implementing a project aimed at exchanging knowledge and building relationships with key entities in the medical and care sector. As part of the task, representatives of the Board will take part in three important industry events: the VIVA SENIORZY! Fair in Poznań, the 3rd National Congress of Long-Term Care, and the 22nd Health Market Forum in Warsaw.
Presence at these congresses allows us to track technological innovations that facilitate the functioning of sick people. The knowledge gained (e.g., regarding communication with patients with impaired consciousness and integrated care) is directly implemented into our proprietary educational program – the Gdańsk School of Accompaniment. It is also an excellent space to promote the Sitting Service and Death Doula in the nationwide care environment.

Accession to and active membership of the "OSTATNIA WARTA" Foundation in the European AGE Platform Europe network in 2026.
As an organization committed to the highest standards of care for the elderly and terminally ill, we strive to integrate into European structures. AGE Platform Europe is the largest European umbrella network headquartered in Brussels, which brings together over 100 organizations and is a direct partner of European Union institutions.
Our project includes formal accession to the organization and active participation in its key events in 2026. The transfer of EU know-how will allow us to even more effectively develop care volunteering services (the so-called Sitting Service) in Poland and represent the Polish care community in the European forum.

Mobilna Warta – providing respite care and Sitting Service for seniors in the Pomeranian Voivodeship.
As part of the "Mobilna Warta" (Mobile Watch) project, we are bringing the idea of a Sitting Service to homes throughout the Pomeranian Voivodeship. Our main tool is not medicine, but non-pharmacological support – assistance, conversation, and time dedicated to another human being.
What do we do in practice?
- For patients (the sick and dying): We break the barrier of isolation. We provide attentive companionship in the most difficult moments.
- For families (actual caregivers): We offer professional respite care. We take the watch, giving loved ones time to regenerate and realistically preventing their burnout.
- Implementation time: until December 31, 2026
We reach exactly where our presence is needed most.
The task is co-financed by the Pomeranian Voivode within the open tender for public tasks covering public benefit activities in the field of social assistance, including assistance to families and individuals in difficult life situations and equalizing opportunities for these families and individuals, 2026 edition.

Mobilna Warta: Intergenerational integration carpooling and care support patrols.
As part of the regranting program, we are implementing an innovative project aimed at developing intergenerational volunteering and counteracting the loneliness of people at the end of life. We connect our volunteers into age-balanced pairs operating in the "Master and Apprentice" formula.
Thanks to the grant, we launched a mechanism combining the physical agility and digital proficiency of younger team members, which seamlessly integrates with the life composure and emotional maturity of seniors (people over 60 years of age).

Mobilna Warta – driving support: respite care for seniors facing transport exclusion in the Pomeranian Voivodeship.
Thanks to the strategic support of the ENERGA Foundation from the ORLEN Group, we effectively eliminate spatial barriers in access to geriatric and palliative care. The obtained funds are used to ensure operational mobility in the most remote areas of the Pomeranian Voivodeship.
As part of the project, we provide non-medical respite care, the essence of which is simply offering presence to another person. This direct assistance in the home environment allows us to realistically relieve the patient's relatives and give them time for necessary regeneration.

Patronage
Institutional distinctions and patronages are an honor for us and a confirmation that our mission of accompanying people at the end of life has important social significance.
Our mission appreciated! The "Gdańsk School of Accompaniment" under the patronage of the International Year of Volunteers 2026
Gdańsk School of Accompaniment – an official event of the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development (IVY 2026) celebrations
We are honored to announce that our original training cycle has received the patronage of the Director of the National Institute of Freedom - Centre for the Development of Civil Society (NIW-CRSO) as part of the IVY 2026 celebrations. During 40 hours of classes with educators and psychologists, we reliably prepare a group of volunteers to accompany people at the end of life (the so-called "death doula"). This distinction confirms that the project directly fits into the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, promoting solidarity and professional social support.
